LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23
My favourite wrestler had just lost a match, and his dream of becoming world champion had come to an end – at least for now. It had been a miserable day! However I am hoping he will make a comeback soon.
So it appeared on Jesus’ crucifixion day. All hope seemed to have vanished. That was certainly not the case. The sole true hope for humanity had emerged from the darkest of days – Calvary’s midday darkness. Because He took the nails for us, Jesus transported our sins far away. And one day He will return – what a wonderful day that will be!
Perhaps your day did not start out well. Perhaps you are dealing with several problems that threaten to turn everything into a gloomy day. Concentrate your attention on Jesus. Carefully review what He accomplished for you at Calvary and how He defeated death through His resurrection. That can make any day wonderful!
The empty tomb of Christ gives us hope.
🙏🏼You saved me when You died; and You buried my sins far away. You permanently justified me by Your resurrection. You will return someday – oh wonderful day!
