GALATIANS 4:21–31
It is often said that elephants raised with chains when they were young. may later remain in place even when the chain is removed because they believe they are still bound. Many people live the same way spiritually, unaware of the freedom already available to them in Christ.
In Galatians 4:21–31, Paul warns the Galatian believers against returning to legalism after receiving the true gospel. Using the illustration of Hagar and Sarah, he contrasts slavery under the Law with the freedom found through God’s promise in Christ. Believers are children of the free woman, not slaves.
Christ has already fulfilled the Law and broken the power of sin. Therefore, do not live as though you are still bound by guilt, fear or religious performance. Stand firmly in the freedom Christ gives and walk daily in faith and obedience.
🙏May Christ’s freedom guide, strengthen, and sustain you every day. Amen.
