THE COMPASS THAT KEPT ITS COURSE

GALATIANS 5:1-12

When sailors crossed vast oceans before modern technology, they relied on a compass to stay on course. Storms, currents, and strong winds could push them off track, but the compass continually pointed them in the right direction. In the same way, God’s truth keeps believers from drifting into error.

In Galatians 5:1-12, Paul calls the Galatian Christians to stand firm in the freedom Christ secured for them. He warns against returning to the bondage of legalism and stresses that what counts is faith working through love, not religious rituals or outward appearances.

Christians today face pressures to compromise their faith or embrace teachings that contradict Scripture. By remaining rooted in God’s Word and guided by the Holy Spirit, we can resist deception and enjoy the freedom Christ has given us.

🙏May Christ’s freedom guide, strengthen, and preserve you always. Amen.
