WHICH LEGACY WILL YOU REPEAT?

GENESIS 4:14–26

A teacher once noticed two brothers reacting differently to hardship: one became violent like their father, while the other chose kindness and discipline. When asked why, the violent one answered: “I learnt it at home.” Our family background can influence us, but it should not control our destiny.

In Genesis 4:14–26, Cain’s sinful legacy continued through Lamech, who embraced violence and pride. Yet, another lineage emerged through Seth, where people began to call on God’s name. The passage reveals that while evil can spread through generations, faith and righteousness can also be passed down.

Believers must reject sinful patterns and intentionally pursue a godly inheritance. Through prayer, obedience and godly living, we can build a legacy of faith for future generations.

🙏 May God establish you in righteousness and bless your generations forever.
