THE FRUIT THAT SPOKE LOUDER THAN WORDS

GALATIANS 5:13–26

When airline pilot Chesley Sullenberger safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River in 2009, many praised not only his skill but also his calmness under pressure. Character often reveals itself most clearly in difficult moments.

In Galatians 5:13–26, Paul contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit. While sinful desires produce destructive behaviour, the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Those who belong to Christ are called to walk by the Spirit.

As Christians, our lives should display Christ-like character daily. Spiritual gifts may attract attention, but spiritual fruit reflects true maturity and a transformed heart.

🙏 May you walk daily in Spirit’s fruit-filled grace. Amen.
