WE WANT TO SEE JESUS

JOHN 12:20–26

I caught a glimpse of a brass plate with the words, “Sir, we would see Jesus,” from John 12:21 as I glanced down at the pulpit where I was leading prayers at a funeral. Yes, I thought it was appropriate to reflect on how we saw Jesus in the woman we were smiling and crying over. Throughout her life, she encountered difficulties and setbacks, but she never wavered in her belief in Christ. We were able to see Jesus because she was filled with the Spirit of God.

John’s gospel tells of Greeks seeking to see Jesus after He entered Jerusalem. They were not allowed into the temple’s inner courts. Jesus announced His hour had come to be glorified, meaning He would die for many sins and reach both Jews and Gentiles, allowing them to see Jesus.

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reside in His people after His death (John 14:16–17). Therefore, we witness Jesus at work in our lives as we love and serve Him. Amazingly, people in our immediate vicinity may also see Jesus!

🙏 Let the Lord Jesus reveal Himself to you today – a great revelation that will bring transformation. And let your life radiate His glory.
