SURROUNDED AND SECURE

PSALM 125:1–5

In a crowded marketplace, a weary old woman collapsed under her burdens—unexpected illness and worry weighed her down. Without prompting, five vendors—complete strangers—gathered around her. They shaded her from the sun, gave her water, and gently offered reassurance until she regained strength. When help arrived, they quietly dispersed, their love woven into action without a single word.

This scene echoes Psalm 125:1–2: those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion—unshakeable and enduring; and just as hills encircle Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people now and for evermore. His protection is constant, solemn and steadfast.

🙏 May the Lord surround you with His presence and love. Amen.
