2 CORINTHIANS 1:1–10; JOHN 20:21
“God sent you to me today!”
The woman said this as we left our flight to Lagos. She had sat by my side and was returning home after multiple flights. I asked her about her quick turnaround, and she replied, “I just put my daughter in rehab for drug abuse today.”
I shared my friend’s heroin addiction story and how Jesus helped. She smiled through tears as we prayed for her daughter.
Later that night, I thought about what Paul had said in 2 Corinthians 1:3–4. Because the God of all comfort comforts us in all of our problems, we are able to comfort others in the same way that He comforts us.
Many people around us need encouragement and God’s comfort. Let us reach out with compassion and love.
🙏 Lord Jesus, thank You for Your kindness towards us! Help Your children to use Your compassion and kindness to comfort others today.
