PSALM 25:14–22
A young man who had lost his mother stood beside the grave in the middle of the town at midnight. He thought about his mother’s laughing in the kitchen on harvest nights, and the emptiness of the courtyard echoes the pain of a broken heart. “O God, have You abandoned me?” he exclaimed.
David, the shepherd boy, knew what it felt like to be lonely. He said, “I am desolate (lonely) and afflicted” (Psalm 25:16). But David did not let sorrow crush him. He chose to hope in God (v. 21).
Loss and grief can make us feel alone. But Jesus understands, and He is near. You are never truly alone when He is with you.
🙏 May you feel Jesus’ embrace whenever you are lonely. Amen.
