1 PETER 3:8–14
In 2018, Malcolm Alexander was freed after 38 years in prison—for a crime he did not commit. Though wrongly accused, he responded not with rage but with grace: “There’s not enough time to be angry,” he said. That is powerful.
When life feels unfair, our instinct is to lash out—but Peter tells us something radical: not to repay evil with evil, but with blessing (1 Peter 3:9).
Jesus took the hit for our wrongs on the cross, so we could show grace—even to those who hurt us. Forgiveness is not weakness; it is strength. It does not mean saying evil is acceptable—but choosing not to let it poison us. Like Malcolm, we can rise above it.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus Christ help you live out God’s mercy and grace. Amen.
