MATTHEW 10:29–31; PSALM 145:9
The more joys and sorrows I experience myself and witness in others, the more I believe that Christmas, more than any other season, tends to make the good things in life sweeter and the bad ones harder.
The Christmas season may bring joy for some, filled with lights and loved ones, while others may struggle with loss and disappointment. Jesus reminds us that troubles exist, leading to both experiences. Those in pain can find comfort in God’s promise of support, while those feeling joyful can help those who are hurting.
Jesus teaches in Matthew 10:30 that God knows every detail, even the hairs on our heads. He cares deeply about everything in our lives.
God created and sustains us every season. He is in the details, watching over everything. It is comforting to know our wise and caring Father holds all of creation in His strong hands.
