JOSHUA 14:7–15; PHILIPPIANS 4:13
As we become older, we could feel overwhelmed by the challenges of being senior citizens at times, and we might endure more joint pain, especially in the colder months.
The protagonist of the story is Caleb, a spy sent by Moses to seek out Canaan. Only Caleb and Joshua provided positive testimony after other spies had returned negative reports. With the Lord’s assistance, Caleb said in Joshua 14 that he will eliminate the Anakites, even though they had significant well-defended cities.
Caleb maintained a combat-ready attitude by putting his faith in God’s assistance above his advanced age and skills.
With the Lord’s assistance, we do not have to be afraid to take advantage of chances and accomplish great things for God, just like Caleb did.
🙏 Father in heaven, we are grateful that You give us the stamina to face each day. We ask in Jesus’ name that You assist us in doing Your will.
