PSALM 73
One of President Lincoln’s associates expressed his gratitude to God for being on the Union’s side during the American Civil War. “Sir, my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right,” Lincoln retorted. “My concern is not whether God is on our side.”
What a big challenge for those of us who think that God needs to support our goals, viewpoints, choices, and desires.
When the psalmist begs God to “search” him (Psalm 139:23-24), it is obvious that he wants to be on His side.
So let us examine our position: Are we on the side of the Lord? Being on His side entails displaying His love to those around us and abiding by His commands.
🙏Lord Jesus, help us draw near to You, so we can be on Your side.
