JEREMIAH 8:8–15; ROMANS 5:1
In 1984, Bob Dylan was asked by a journalist if he still hoped for peace. “There is not going to be any peace,” Dylan answered. Although there was criticism of his answer, it is undeniable that peace is still elusive.
Around 600 years before Christ, most prophets predicted peace, but God’s prophet, Jeremiah, reminded the people of His commands. Despite false prophets claiming peace, Jeremiah predicted disaster, such as Jerusalem’s fall in 586 BC, highlighting the rarity of peace.
God is a peace-loving God, but our rebellion against Him leads to conflict. Sin destroys world peace and inner peace. Jesus came to reconcile us to God, providing inner peace. He invites us into His peace.
🙏 May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Receive His peace!
