ROMANS 8:22–28; PSALM 120:1
Her mom stopped treatment due to increased pain and desired to enjoy her final days with family. She was ready to go home after a long battle with cancer.
She pleaded with her heavenly Father, the Great Physician, to work miracles, but He had to say no to her own prayers if He must say yes to her mother’s. Sobbing, she surrendered, and Jesus welcomed her mother into a pain-free eternity.
In this fallen world, suffering will persist until Jesus returns. Our sinful nature, limited vision, and fear of pain can hinder prayer. However, the Spirit intercedes for God’s people, ensuring God works for the good of those who love Him, even when His yes to someone else means a heartbreaking no for us.
God’s answers are always wiser than our prayers.
🙏Lord, we await your answer, whether it favours us or not.
