WHEN WE ARE WEARY

GALATIANS 6:1–10

It might be draining at times to attempt to do the right thing. We can question whether our well-meaning words and deeds actually have any impact. This was the kind of experience I recently had when I sent a well-considered email intended to uplift a friend and received an angry reply. I was initially upset and angry at the same time. How could anyone misinterpret me?

We may not always see the desired results when we share our love for others. Galatians 6 is a good resource for encouragement when discouraged by someone’s response. Paul encourages us to test our actions and motives, and to persevere in doing good, as it will lead to a harvest if we persist. We should do good to all people as we have the opportunity, ensuring we do not become weary.

God wants us to continue doing good. He will see to the results.

🙏 Dear Lord Jesus, enable Your servant to persevere in doing good, and let blessings and prosperity follow. Amen.
