PSALM 27:1-10
Have you ever felt forsaken? To me, the concept of being forsaken assumes that someone you trust has let you down. God’s promise is that He will never let us down.
A man had suffered a terrible loss. His son died and his wife left him because she could not stand the pain.
One day as he was walking down the street he found himself behind a mother with a little boy, she was angry and was walking too fast at a pace his tiny legs could not keep up.
When they reached a point, the boy stopped and his hand came out of his mother’s grip. She turned, spat a curse, and continued walking. The boy sat down on the sidewalk and burst into tears. After a moment of hesitation, the man sat down next to him and hugged the boy.
The woman turned and swore again, looking at the child. The man sighed and looked up. “Madam,” he said softly, “if you do not want him, I will take him.”
So it is with our Father who is in heaven. He too has suffered a great loss and loves us just as much. Even if our friends and family leave us, our God never will (Psalm 27:10). We will always be in His care.
🙏Thank You Lord for caring about us.
