HEBREWS 11:1–8
We pulled over for the night at a quite late hour. We were happy to see a balcony in our comfortable room, but the dense fog prevented us from seeing past it. However, the haze started to disappear a few hours later, when the sun rose. Then the landscape that had been somberly obscured the previous evening revealed itself to us: a picture-perfect scene with large, fluffy, white clouds in the sky that looked like peaceful sheep!
Life can get clouded by a heavy fog of despair and loss of hope, but faith in God can help clear away doubt. Hebrews 11 tells us that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Faith in God can help us overcome doubt and find hope in our lives.
God is always present and will assist us through our darkest nights, despite our inability to always see or feel His presence.
🎶The night becomes as day
when from the heart we say:
may Jesus Christ be praised!
The powers of darkness fear
when this sweet chant they hear:
may Jesus Christ be praised!
