GALATIANS 6:2–10
Brethren from a local church distributed food to a low-income area during a cold evening, amidst a woman’s overjoyed response to the food, showcasing her bare cupboard as an answer to her prayers.
One of them started crying as they made their way back to the church. “That woman was my Sunday school teacher when I was a little child,” she said. She attends church each Sunday. We did not know she was on the verge of starvation!
These caring people were attempting to bear the burdens of others, but they never took note of the needs of a woman they saw every Sunday. This serves as a reminder to be more aware of those around us and to do good to all people, especially those in the family of believers (Galatians 6:10).
Worshipping together allows individuals to assist one another, ensuring no one in the body of Christ goes without help. As we get to know each other and care for each other, we may never have to say, “We did not know.”
The only thing more expensive than caring is not caring.
