PHILIPPIANS 4:4–9
Food monitoring involves counting calories, measuring every bite, estimating portions, monitoring macronutrients, and various “listen to your body” approaches. These methods help individuals track their food intake and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Watching food consumption is crucial, but media consumption is even more important. Research indicates that what we see can have a lasting impact on our behaviour, resembling stubborn fat that is hard to lose.
We must be discerning consumers in today’s media landscape, not only exposing ourselves to Christian literature and faith-related movies but also assessing the value of the content we consume and ensuring it is worth our time.
In Philippians 4:8, Paul encourages us to focus on true, noble, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy things, a “diet” that reflects Christ’s work and influence in us.
Always remember that our minds are formed by what they take in.
