ISAIAH 11:1–10
My Facebook friends frequently share sweet videos of unexpected animal friendships, like a dog and pig, deer and cat, and ape caring for tiger cubs.
Heartwarming friendships remind me of Eden. Adam, Eve, and animals lived in harmony until sin disrupted peace. Now, conflict is evident in human relationships and creation, contrasting with the original tranquillity described in Genesis.
Isaiah prophesises a future where animals like wolves and lambs will coexist peacefully. Many believe this will happen when Jesus returns to rule. At that time, there will be no more divisions, pain, or death. The earth will be renewed, with all creation living harmoniously, and people from different backgrounds will come together to worship God.
Until then, God can assist in repairing broken relationships and forming new friendships.
🙏Father, may we break down barriers and befriend others, sharing the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.
