Traditionally, it is believed that the Gospel of Luke and Acts were written by the physician Luke, a companion of Paul. Many scholars believe he was a Gentile Christian, though some think Luke was a Hellenic Jew.
He talked much about healing in his write-ups (probably because he was a physician/doctor) and portrayed Jesus Christ as the Great Physician.
