EXODUS 16:22–27
When a global tech outage grounded flights, many travellers were stranded overnight, unsure what to do next. Some rushed in panic, while others waited patiently for clear guidance from airline staff, trusting that provision would come in due time. In much the same way, God often works through calm, steady provision that calls for trust rather than haste.
Exodus 16:22–27 reveals God’s provision of manna and His command to gather double on the sixth day in honour of the Sabbath. While many obeyed, some still went out on the Sabbath and found none, showing their struggle to rely fully on God’s instruction.
We are reminded to trust God’s provision and follow His word, even when it feels counterintuitive. Choosing rest and obedience over anxiety demonstrates faith. When we rely on Him daily, we discover that His provision is always sufficient and timely.
🙏May God grant you trust, rest, and obedient hearts always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
