HABAKKUK 3:17-18
Habakkuk wrote this portion of the scripture after Israel had been crushed by the Babylonian incursion. Everything that indicates comfort and security in their society was gone (the crops, livestock, etc.). In spite of the massive destruction, he saw God’s supremacy and proclaimed same. His source of hope and strength was in the Lord. Even in tough times, God is still sovereign.
May the Lord give us eyes to see His supremacy when we are devastated and teach us to persevere in following Him.
