THE WAY OUT

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

Mark made the decision to get to his destination in London by underground train. So after paying his fare, he entered the depths of London in order to catch his train. Due to his lack of familiarity with the system, getting out of the station was worrisome for him.

It felt frightening to be by yourself in a sparsely populated underground tunnel. Needless to say, he was relieved to find the “WAY OUT” sign and follow it to safety.

Paul tells us that when we are at risk of sinning, God is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond our capacity to withstand it. But He will also offer a way out if we are tempted. When we are under temptation to sin, it is simple to believe that God is not with us. However, 1 Corinthians 10:13 reassures us that He is actually there, not just watching passively. Instead, He is actively offering a solution.

So, keep in mind that you have options the next time you feel tempted. A way out has been divinely provided! Seek out the sign and adhere to it to reach safety.

🙏🏼Lord, help us remember that You are with us in times of temptation to show us the way out.
