EPHESIANS 2:1-5
Each generation has its own set of thoughts, ideas, and values that shape the cultural spirit of the time. It is this kind of consensus view that puts us in a moral coma, gradually causing us to accept society’s most latest values.
This corrupting atmosphere was described by the apostle Paul as the course of this world. It is worldly peer pressure, a satanic-inspired system of values and ideas that fosters a lifestyle apart from God.
Because we live in the world (John 17:15), it is nearly impossible to avoid the world’s influence. But God gave us His Word to permeate our thinking so that we do not have to conform to the values of the world (Romans 12:1-2). Instead, God empowers us to walk in His light, in the Spirit, in love, in truth, and in Christ.
As we walk in God’s power and spend quality time in His Word, He strengthens us to live according to kingdom values rather than the spirit of this age.
🙏🏼 Father, You have made us alive in Christ. Make us live and think differently from the world.
