EPHESIANS 5:1-2
There are many imitators in this world, but few true role models. Children and teenagers, even adults, want to be famous, so they follow the most prominent example they see: movie stars, footballers, musicians, etc. But unless these people are following a greater example themselves, they are doomed to fail and disappoint us. Those who are following/imitating them may also go down along with them.
The Scriptures gives us a Perfect Role Model to follow – Jesus Christ. By imitating Him and not people, our character can change, and our fortunes too.
I am personally tired of imitating people who are just mere humans with limitations like me. I want to set my sights high and strive to be more like the One who created me! What about you?
