Jay Bufton created a lighthouse out of his hospital room.
Jay, a dying cancer patient, transformed his room into a wonderful place for friends, family, and hospital workers. His joyful attitude and strong faith attracted nurses who even visited him during off-hours. He greeted everyone with a smile and encouragement, living out his faith despite facing cancer and death. His positive attitude and faith made him a beacon of hope.
At his funeral, a speaker highlighted the significance of his hospital room, referencing Genesis 50:20, where Joseph recounts God’s intervention in his life, even after his brothers sold him into slavery. By acknowledging God’s intervention, Jay could use his cancer as an opportunity to share Jesus’ message, demonstrating the power of God’s intervention.
What a legacy of everlasting faith in our Lord and Saviour when death was on the doorstep! What a testament to faith in our loving and dependable God!
🙏Lord, help us to trust in God, knowing that nothing is beyond Your control. May we express Your love even in the midst of difficult times.
