ISAIAH 55:1–7
Despite receiving numerous mail invitations, including free seminars on retirement, real estate, and life insurance, the one to a gathering honouring a longtime friend was quickly accepted because I desired to be there. Invitation plus desire equals acceptance.
Isaiah 55:1 is a biblical invitation to those in difficult circumstances, offering them inner nourishment, spiritual satisfaction, and everlasting life. The Lord invites those in need to seek water, buy food, and enjoy wine and milk without money or cost, demonstrating His remarkable offer of salvation.
In the last chapter of the Bible, Jesus invites those who are thirsty and wish to receive the free gift of the water of life (Revelation 22:17).
Eternal life, often associated with death, actually begins when we receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord, and God’s invitation to find eternal life in Him is the greatest of all.
Remember: invitation plus desire equals acceptance.
🙏Lord Jesus, we acknowledge our failures and receive you as our Saviour today.
