HEBREWS 13:1–2
The dinner where we hosted five families was a memorable experience. The conversation was diverse and inclusive, allowing everyone to contribute to a wider discussion on life in Nigeria. It fostered new friendships and taught me about different cultures.
The writer of the book of Hebrews encourages community life by encouraging us to welcome strangers, as some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. This may be referring to Abraham and Sarah, who welcomed three strangers with generosity and treated them to a feast, unaware that they were entertaining angels who brought them a message of blessing.
We often receive more than we give when we invite people into our homes, and may the Lord spread His love through us as we welcome others.
🙏You are the source of everything we own, Lord God. May we give everything we have so that you remain glorified.
