THE GATES OF WORSHIP

PSALM 100

Famous gates in world-renowned cities, such as Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem, and Downing Street gates in London, represent the distinction between being outside or inside specific areas of a city. Some are closed, while others are open to only a select few.

Psalm 100 invites the Israelites to enter God’s presence through the temple gates, singing joyfully. God’s goodness and enduring love continue through generations, even when forgotten.

God’s presence is still accessible to us, beckoning us to come and worship.

What ought to inspire us to give thanks to God? What gratitude can we communicate to God today?
