PSALM 102:1–17
I came upon an article about a mother’s five-minute rule for her children. Every day, they had to get ready for school and assemble together five minutes before departure. She would pray for each of them individually, requesting the Lord’s favour for their day. She would then kiss them and send them running. If children from the neighbourhood happened to drop by, they would also be included in the prayer circle. Many years later, one of the children recalled how this event taught her the importance of prayer in her daily life.
The author of Psalm 102 understood the value of prayer. This Psalm, written by one who is afflicted, is a cry of mourning before the Lord, pleading for prompt action.
God cares for you, so talk to Him daily. Your example can impact someone.
