PHILIPPIANS 4:1–9
Jane was excited about moving to a new apartment. As a result, she experienced anxiety due to unknowns and perceived challenges. She ended up in the hospital and had to take a bed rest for two days.
Paul, who was a shipwrecked, beaten, and jailed individual, should have been anxious about unknowns and challenges. In a letter to the Philippian church, he encouraged his friends to pray and petition God with thanksgiving in every situation, urging them not to be anxious about anything.
The uncertainties in life, such as major life transitions, family issues, health scares, and financial troubles, will always surface. Paul encourages us to let go of these fears and trust in God’s care. He promises that His peace, transcending understanding, will guard our heart and mind in Christ Jesus, ensuring a safe and fulfilling life.
🙏Dear God, what a blessing to know we do not have to be anxious about anything! Remind us that we can come to You through Jesus Christ and tell You about everything.
