LUKE 24:32
Most of us experience times when our spirits are discouraged, famished and almost dead. Usually, it happens when we have experienced something that stretches us to our maximum limits, and we find ourselves just trying to hang on.
The disciples of Jesus were no different. We read in Luke 24 how they had just come through a week of trauma. They watched the arrest and crucifixion of the Lord Jesus. Even though they had heard that Jesus was alive, they were still trying to believe and get out of their dream world. Then Jesus appeared on the scene. He spoke the word of life to them. He knew their hearts needed it.
It was the light of His word that renewed their hearts and set them on fire at that moment. According to them, their hearts burned as He spoke and opened the scriptures.
He will do the same for us, if we let Him walk on the road of life with us and we make out time for His word.
