THE BLESSING OF ENCOURAGERS

ACTS 9:26–31

The King’s Speech, a 2010 movie, was about King George VI of England, who unexpectedly became monarch after his brother abandoned the throne. Despite struggling with a stuttering problem, his wife, Elizabeth, provided constant encouragement and support, helping him overcome his speech difficulties and rule well during World War II.

The Bible highlights the importance of encouragers in challenging circumstances. Barnabas, a “son of encouragement,” vouched for Paul, ensuring his welcome by the Christian community (Acts 9:27) and continued preaching with him despite dangers.

Encouraging one another and building up each other is still a charge for followers of Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Let us be ready to encourage people, especially when they are going through tough times.

🙏 May you inspire others to move on and find encouragement when you need it in Jesus name. Amen.
