PSALM 117
A young believer in Jesus was encouraged by a spiritual mentor to keep a thanks journal. This small booklet was carried everywhere, recording Thanksgivings either immediately or at the end of the day.
The author of Psalm 117, the shortest of all the psalms, exhorts everyone to give thanks to the Lord since His love is great towards us (v. 2).
Consider how the Lord has demonstrated His love to you in various aspects of life, including your family, church, and others, and let your mind absorb the extent of His love for all of us.
The psalmist emphasises that the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever, indicating His continued love for us. So we will continue to have many things to praise God for in the days and years ahead.
