TAKE IT SLOWLY

MARK 6:30-32

A friend recently started having a physical problem. He had pain in his left arm and shoulder, and he was constantly fatigued.

He was forced into a new routine as a result of this condition. To have the energy to work, he needed a quick nap in the morning and another in the afternoon. He had to learn to pace himself while he was still recovering.

When Jesus sent His disciples out into the world to preach in His name, they were once so enthralled by what they were doing that they failed to take the necessary breaks to eat and rest. When they got back, He instructed them to go aside and find a quiet area to rest for a while (Mark 6:31).

Everyone requires rest, and if we skip it for too long, we will feel the effects physically and mentally. Additionally, we may not be able to fulfill our duties as effectively as we ought to. The Lord may be urging us to “come aside and rest a while.” It might be necessary to take a few more breaks with Him.

Take a break for relaxation and prayer to avoid a collapse.

🙏🏼Help us Lord to see the need to come aside and rest a while.
