JOHN 8:1–11
A young boy shattered a neighbour’s window with his football. Expecting anger, he froze in fear. But instead of yelling, the neighbour quietly brought out a broom and helped him clean it up. That act of mercy taught the boy more than punishment ever could.
John 8:1–11 tells of a woman caught in adultery, dragged before Jesus by religious leaders eager to condemn her. But Jesus turned the moment around: “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.” Silence followed. One by one, they walked away, their stones—and their pride—left behind.
Jesus did not excuse the sin, but He refused to condemn. Instead, He offered grace and a new start. Like Him, we are called not to throw stones, but to extend mercy.
🙏 May the Lord help you to lead with grace, not judgement, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
