STEALING EPIDEMIC

EXODUS 20:15

Stealing is taking without permission what belongs to someone else. It can involve touchable and untouchable things.

Stealing has become rampant in our society. Many Christians are involved in stealing without knowing it. It is possible, for instance, even to steal time – when we use our work hours for personal pursuits.

It is true, too, that people are careless with the use of company property, stationery, etc. And sometimes take them home or use them for personal jobs.

Some do not pay their bills or taxes, and look for ways to cut corners at cheaper cost.

Not correcting salesmen when they undercharge us for goods purchased is stealing. Underpaying people for job done or services rendered, so as to keep back what is due to them is stealing. Claiming credit for a work not done by us is stealing too.

God desires complete honesty from us. Any form of stealing should be forsaken as it is not worthy of His children.
