SLOW PROCESS OF HEALING

REVELATION 21:1-7

A young man suffered a serious knee injury during a training exercise only four weeks after enlisting in the Army. He was consequently discharged from the service. So, at age 19, he had to use a cane for a while to go around, and due to the severity of the injury, he had to recuperate, rest, and undergo rehabilitation for two years. He was finally able to remove the knee braces he had been using ever since the injury. He still feels some pain, but the lengthy, gradual healing process has allowed him to regain full use of his leg.

Physical recovery may occur far more slowly than we expect. This also applies to spiritual healing. The effects of poor decisions or the actions of callous individuals can leave behind burdens or wounds that last a lifetime. However, there is still hope for God’s children. The promise of healing is certain, even though complete restoration is not always experienced in this life – Revelation 21:4.

Knowing that we will someday be healed and restored forever in the Lord’s mighty presence brings comfort through difficult times.

Christ heals us when we approach Him in our broken state.

🙏🏼We are grateful to You, Father, for providing us with comfort in the midst of all our struggles and pains.
