PSALM 3
When a child hides beneath a sturdy umbrella during a sudden downpour, the rain still falls, yet the fear may fade. Life’s storms arrive uninvited, but safety can still be found beneath trusted cover.
Psalm 3 was written when David fled from his son Absalom. Surrounded by danger and accusation, he declared that the Lord was his shield, his glory, and the One who lifted his head. Though others thought God had abandoned him, David trusted God’s protection and prayed with confidence.
Today, illness, grief, conflict, or financial strain can bow our heads low. Like David, we can look up, trusting God to shield us and restore courage.
