SEEING GOD

JOHN 14:1–12

TV broadcaster Art Linkletter and a young child who was sketching an image of God. “You can’t do that because nobody knows what God looks like,” Linkletter remarked, amused. The youngster said, “They will when I get through.”

Jesus’s response to Philip’s request to show the Father reveals that anyone who has seen Him has seen the Father, proving that God is good, kind, and caring, even after being among us for a long time.

To see God, look at Jesus, who is considered the image of the invisible God. Read through the New Testament’s four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and think deeply about Jesus’ actions and words. Draw your own mental picture of God as you read, as you will gain a deeper understanding of His nature. Jesus is the God many have been searching for all their lives.

🙏We are so prone, Lord, to want You to be something You are not. Help us to see You more clearly.
