RESTORED FAILURES

PSALM 145:1–16

A guest band led praise and worship at our church, showcasing their passionate devotion to the Lord. The musicians, all ex-prisoners, captivated the audience with their songs, which became a testament to the lives they now live.

The world may embrace success, but stories of past failure offer hope and assurance that God loves us no matter how many times we have failed. Pastor Gary Inrig suggests that the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11 could be titled God’s Hall of Reclaimed Failures, as God is in the business of restoring failures, a principle of God’s grace.

Psalm 145 provides comfort and highlights God’s “wonderful works” and glorious kingdom. It describes His compassion and faithfulness and then emphasises His ability to lift up those who have fallen. All His attributes are expressed when He picks us up, demonstrating His restoration business.

Have you ever failed before? Everyone has. Have you recovered? Every person who has been saved is a testament to God’s grace.

🙏Thank you, Lord Jesus, for restoring us.
