READING FROM THE BACK

REVELATION 21:1-7

I must admit that I occasionally read the end of a book before beginning it. This allows me to determine which characters are alive and which are not. I am able to relax and fully appreciate and enjoy the story and the characters when I know how it will end.

Reading the final book of the Bible, the book of Revelation, can also be a source of encouragement and comfort for Jesus’ disciples. Christians are repeatedly exhorted to be overcomers. We can be overcomers for all eternity.

In the book of Revelation, the apostle John depicts what the final victory will be like for those who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour. We will see the end of death, sadness, suffering, and pain at that time.

Allow the Lord to show you the end of the story when you will be in His presence eternally whenever the trials of today seem more overwhelming than your strength!

🙏🏼 REFLECT AND PRAY:

“Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;

This day the noise of battle – the next the victor’s song.

To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be;

He with the King of glory shall reign eternally.”
