PRIVILEGED ACCESS

HEBREWS 12:18–24

The replica of the tabernacle in southern Israel, built to exact specifications from Exodus 25–27, stands tall in the Negev desert. During a tour, some participants were hesitant to enter the “Holy Place” and “Most Holy Place” to see the “ark,” feeling it was too holy to enter casually.

The Israelites must have experienced fear and wonder as they approached the tent of meeting with their sacrifices, knowing they were in the presence of God.

Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, which broke down the barrier separating us from God, we can approach God directly today with confidence (Hebrews 12:22–23). May we always be grateful for this amazing opportunity to approach the Father every day as His cherished children and never take it for granted.

🙏Thank you, Father, for this wonderful privilege that Jesus has given us to be able to come before you.
