PONDER IT

LUKE 2:8–20

Oswald Chambers reminded his students that understanding often comes later. So when life feels uncertain, when God’s plans seem hidden, resist the urge to hurry. Sit. Listen. Ponder. Let your heart become a space where God can speak.

In many African villages, wisdom is not shouted—it is found in silence, in fireside reflection, and in the pause before words. Like the farmer who waits for the rain and trusts the soil, we are invited to trust God’s timing when things do not make sense.

In the quiet moments after the shepherds had left, Mary sat with wonder in her heart (Luke 2:19). She did not rush to speak or explain—she pondered. She held the mystery of God’s work close, turning it over in her heart like a mother examining a precious bead.

Today, take time to reflect. What is God asking you to treasure and quietly ponder?

🙏 May the Lord Jesus guide you as you ponder about life and His words. Amen.
