JOHN 13:34-35
We are usually told to smile before someone takes a picture of us, but in some parts of the world it is a rule not to smile when taking a picture to get your driver’s license. But why not smile? The face is more easily recognised if a person has a neutral facial expression.
Jesus described a good way to get to know a Christian. He told his disciples that if they love one another, people will know that they are His disciples (John 13:35). The ways to show love to fellow believers are endless – a message of encouragement, a visit, a meal, a gentle rebuke, a prayer, a Bible verse, a listening ear, even a gentle smile.
Can others see from our care for our fellow Christians that we know and love the Lord?
