ROMANS 13:11–14
Lauren Winner’s book Wearing God suggests that clothing can convey various aspects of our identity, such as career, community, moods, or social status, suggesting that Christians can also communicate their beliefs.
Paul said that Christians should clothe themselves with Christ, not gratify fleshly desires. As children of God through faith, we must strive to live like Jesus, grow in godliness, love, and obedience, and turn away from past sins.
Growth in Christ is facilitated by the Holy Spirit and our desire to connect with Him through study, prayer, and fellowship.
What impression are we leaving on people about Christ through the words and attitudes? Are we outfitted enough?
🙏 Dear Lord, make us a reflection of you.
