Jeralean Talley, the world’s oldest living person in 2015, died that year at the age of 116. Jerusalem celebrated its 3,000th birthday in 1995. A bristlecone pine in California’s White Mountains has been determined to be older than 4,800 years. That precedes the patriarch Abraham by 800 years!
Jesus, when confronted by Jewish religious leaders, claimed to be eternal before Abraham. This bold assertion shocked them, leading to their attempts to stone Him. Jesus, as a member of the Trinity, could legitimately claim to be eternal.
The timeless One, who entered time to allow us to live forever, died in our place and rose again, ensuring a future unbound by time where we will spend eternity with Him.
🙏Thank you, Lord Jesus. You called us, and you will remain ours forever, even though the earth dissolves like snow and the sun refuses to shine. May your timeless name be praised. Amen.
