OUR FACES

GALATIANS 5:22–26; 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18

“Only your face goes to heaven, not your body,” the girl told her grandfather when she was very little about what happens when you die. You keep your face, but you get a new body.

Naturally, her conception of our everlasting state was childish, but she did recognise a fundamental reality. Our faces might be thought of as a visual representation of the unseen soul.

Police, firemen, doctors, and nurses wear distinctive clothing and have special appearances, while Christians are referred to as followers of Jesus Christ, who should look like Him. God predestined us to be conformed to His Son’s image, and our spiritual transformation is a process through the Holy Spirit. Being like Jesus means being righteous and holy, and our transformation will be completed at the second coming of Christ.

What areas have we noticed advancement in our spiritual development since we came to know Jesus? Is it possible for people to say, “I see Christ in you”?

🙏 Lord Jesus, cause your people to be more like You each day.
